FAQ

  • Four miles from Telluride Town Park on the Lawson Hill Ball Fields off of Greenfields Lane, Telluride, CO 81435.

  • Picture yourself in a sea of tents, occupied by your newest friends. Views are exquisite in every direction and the river is just feet away. You can enjoy an easy walk or bike into Town or catch our free shuttle directly to the Festival grounds.

    Lawson Hill is a gorgeous space with stunning views and river access nearby. The campground is located on a baseball field, so please bring your own shade. This area is TENT ONLY and no vehicles are allowed in the campground.

    • Everyone at Lawson Hill must have their own camping pass. Your Lawson Hill Camping pass was sold bundled with a 2-Day Event Pass.

    • You may enter the campground and start setting up as long as you have your tent camping pass confirmation, but please bring your ticket confirmation to the Box Office ASAP to exchange for your 2-Day Event and camping wristbands.

    • The Box Office is located where E. Pacific Ave dead ends at Town Park, near the Post Office. Be sure to grab your wristbands Thursday (if possible) or early Friday to avoid long lines!

    • Box Office hours are:

      • Thursday 8/27: Noon - 8pm

      • Friday 8/28: 11am - 10pm

      • Saturday 8/29: 1pm - 10pm

  • This is first come, first served camping. Please take only the space you need and leave some for your nieghbors!

  • Opens: Thursday, Aug 27 at 9am

    Closes: Sunday, Aug 30 at Noon

  • Your camping pass is for up to 3 nights (Thursday Night, Friday Night & Saturday Night). You must be out of all campgrounds by noon on Sunday.

    • Expect to drive in to the loading area and walk your camping equipment to your campsite. Once you unload you will be parked as close as possible to the campground depending on what space is available when you arrive.

    • Please note, some vehicles will need to be parked at remote locations that are accessible from a free shuttle, so plan accordingly.

    • When available, there will be wagons available to help haul your belongings to camp.

  • You need one Lawson Hill camping pass per person.

  • After unloading, you’ll park in (free) remote lots. Depending on when you arrive, these may be adjacent to the campground or down the hill in Ilium. 

    • Shuttle service is available to return to camp – staff will direct you.

    • Our preference is that your car remains parked throughout the weekend.

      • Everything you need for food, fun, and recreation is a short shuttle or bike ride from camp.

      • If you do need to drive your car out of our lots, your space won’t be held.

    • When you return, please drive to the Lawson Hill Camp hosts and staff will help you repark your car.

    • If you try to park somewhere not directed by staff, you risk an expensive ticket!

    • Everyone must have their own camping pass

    • No pets allowed

    • No open fires, including “smokeless” fire pits. Propane pits are OK but must have an on/off switch (subject to restrictions).

    • No drones or renegading

    • No tent stakes longer than 6” (protects irrigation)

    • Use metal pans under camp stoves (available from hosts)

    • Leave no trace – compost, recycle, and trash stations are on-site

    • No generators – use solar or battery packs

    • Restrooms: Port-O-Potties, cleaned regularly

    • Water: Free, filtered water will be available on-site.

    • Ice: Available at the Conoco Gas Station (short walk from camp)

    • Showers: There are no showers at Lawson Hill.

      • Use the cash showers at the Red Pool Bathrooms in Town Park.

      • There is a machine on-site to exchange cash for tokens ($1=75 seconds of hot water).

    • Quiet Hours: 2am – 7am, please be respectful of neighbors.

    • Medical & Emergency: Call 911 for emergencies. EMTS and event staff are stationed at the host tent 24/7.

  • Wood fires are not allowed in any campgrounds for everyone’s safety. This includes smokeless fire pits like Solo Stoves. Propane fire pits are allowed as long as they are entirely under adult supervision and never left unattended.

    • Shuttles: Yellow School buses will run from Lawson Hill to the Event Grounds. They will pick up HERE and HERE every 30min in the morning and every 15min after 2pm. Their schedule is: 

      • Thursday, Aug 27: 9am – 3am

      • Friday, Aug 28: 9am – 3am

      • Saturday, Aug 29: 9am – 3am

      • Sunday, Aug 30: 7am – 2pm

    • SMART Bus: A free public bus runs between Lawson Hill and Town Park that picks up HERE. Make sure you get on the right bus!

    • Walk or Bike:

  • Nope! All campgrounds close at noon on Sunday.

  • No, generators are not allowed. Concert camping is very high density, and it is almost impossible to safely use generators without them being too close to your neighbors’ tents. Please be respectful of your fellow campers and leave those generators at home. If you need to use medical devices overnight, we request that you utilize battery packs.

  • No. Only Lawson Hill camping wristbands can enter the campgrounds.
