Town Park Campground: Lottery Load-In Info

Want first choice of your camping spot in Town Park?

You’ll need to participate in our randomized lottery system — it’s quick, fair, and fun!!

Key Timeline — Thurs, August 21

  • 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM: Line up on foot to receive a lottery number

  • 2:00 PM: Random numbers are handed out

  • 2:30 PM: Campers enter the campground in lottery number order to claim spots

Where to Line Up

No Need to Arrive Early!

  • The line begins at 1:30 PM sharp

  • Lottery numbers are handed out randomly, so there’s no advantage to arriving early

  • Save yourself the hassle — enjoy the morning elsewhere (Ridgway and Montrose are lovely!)

How the Lottery Works

  • 1:30 PM: Line up ON FOOT with your Town Park camping ticket confirmation email

  • 2:00 PM: Staff will hand out randomized lottery numbers

  • After receiving numbers, the line will be reordered numerically

  • 2:30 PM: Campers will be allowed to enter the campground in lottery order to claim their space

  • Once you've staked your claim:

    • Check in with the Town Park Host to receive a temporary vehicle pass

    • Retrieve your vehicle from legal parking, use the pass to enter and unload

    • Unload quickly, then exit the campground

    • Present your parking pass again to enter our festival parking lot

Important Details

  • One person per group only — please designate one representative

  • Bring a tarp to claim your space

  • Town Park Vehicle Pass holders: Follow the same process — you’ll claim a vehicle space with your tarp before bringing your vehicle into the park

Parking Notes

  • NO parking inside Town Park during the lineup

  • Please park legally elsewhere in Telluride — always check signage

  • Camping in vehicles is prohibited anywhere in the Town of Telluride

  • You CANNOT enter the campground with your vehicle until:

    1. You’ve claimed your camping spot

    2. You've received a temporary unloading pass from the Town Park Host

Not Doing the Lottery?

  • If you’re not participating, please wait until after 4:00 PM to arrive.

  • No arrivals will be allowed between 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM unless you're part of the lottery.
